Who are we?

Skellefteå District Court is a general court with 22 dedicated employees who together handle and decide criminal cases, civil cases, and court matters.

The court is located in pleasant premises in central Skellefteå. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Skellefteå, Malå, and Norsjö.

The work involves

As a summer clerk, your work will include recording minutes at hearings, conducting legal research, and writing proposals for judgments and decisions. The work also includes preparing cases and matters as well as performing other tasks commonly found at the court.

We are looking for someone who

Is studying in the law program and has completed courses in criminal law and procedural law. You have good grades from completed parts of your education and at least one semester left after the employment period. You have good computer skills and strong knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You quickly absorb new knowledge and apply your experience flexibly. As a person, you have good judgment, are responsible, service-oriented, and meticulous. You find it easy to collaborate with others and prioritize tasks according to the needs of the organization.

To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the governmental values that guide the operations of Sweden's courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws.

Other

We are looking for a summer clerk for a fixed-term employment of 8-10 weeks during the period from June to August.

In your application, we would like you to attach your transcript of grades from completed parts of the law program.

Interviews are usually not conducted for this short employment, but great importance will be placed on your personal letter and how you motivate your interest in working as a summer clerk at our court. However, a phone interview and reference checks may be relevant.

Before employment, a background check may be conducted.
